I live and write univited on the homelands of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples (also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations), and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples (also known as the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum and Malahat Nations). Their teachings have persevered for untold generations and their stewardship of the land continues to this day. I'm deeply grateful and offer my thanks: həyšxʷq́̓ə siiem  (thank you honorable ones).
